Pierre’s educational trajectory is fascinatingly unconventional. He began with a Master’s in Business Analytics and Big Data at ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. This program delved into programming, AI creation, and futuristic tech. The subsequent CEMS Master in International Management in Barcelona and Tokyo complemented the technical aspects with a focus on global strategy and management.
Despite his initial interest in events, the unexpected turn towards programming happened during an internship in 2020. Pierre found solace in coding during the pandemic-induced isolation and decided to leverage programming as a productivity tool, leading him to the Business Analytics master’s.
Even though programming wasn't a core part of his EHL curriculum, Pierre credits the international exposure and project work for instilling adaptability and readiness to engage with diverse perspectives, crucial traits in his later global educational pursuits.
During his first master’s, Pierre initiated the concept of Bumpy—an idea born out of the necessity to streamline networking in a world overflowing with digital connections. With supportive teachers and professionals, he nurtured the idea, eventually launching Bumpy, a digital business card app, after testing its Minimum Viable Product in Barcelona.
Running a startup brought its set of challenges. Pierre acknowledges the absence of formal sales education but emphasizes the immersive learning of entrepreneurship itself. Leveraging his network—both from EHL and his master’s programs—proved instrumental in navigating hurdles.
While devoted to nurturing Bumpy, Pierre’s mind buzzes with multiple entrepreneurial ideas, nurtured by the diverse education he received. EHL’s holistic approach, spanning various industries, instilled a problem-solving mindset, enabling him to innovate across sectors.
Pierre’s advice for prospective master’s students echoes his adventurous spirit—dive in without fear. He emphasizes the value of pursuing passions, echoed in his own journey of unexpected turns and fruitful outcomes.
